Day 17- San Gimignano

We are getting into the groove. lazy morning by the pool, shaded by a huge tree. I actually swim laps because one does not get thinner in Italy.

In the afternoon we head out to San Gimignano. It's about a 20 minute drive. Again parking is a challenge. This walled, medieval village is truly beautiful and is famous for it's 14 towers. It is the MOST crowded town we have visited...not so great. The boys decide they want to go visit the torture museum while the girls visit the wine museum. The wine museum was a bust but the views on the way there were well worth the uphill climb. We tried to get into the number 1 restaurant as per trip advisor but had to settle for the number 2.
Il Trovatore was great! The pizza was awesome and we also sampled the local pici pasta!
